TV START SLAPPED WITH MILLION DOLLAR TAX LIEN

TV star slapped with million dollar tax lien. Erika Jayne's financial problems are apparent, as the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been hit with a $2.2 million dollar tax line by the Franchise Tax Board of California, for unpaid State Taxes. The Tax Lien was documented in October of 2022. The Tax Lien lists her and her husband Tom Girardi as the two people who owe the money. In the filing, the State of California accuses the couple of owing $2,277,344 for the tax year of 2019. In addressing the California Court, Jayne stated that "in approximately late May 2022, my business manager received an Income Tax Due Notice from the California Franchise Tax Board which was dated May 10th, 2022, which says I owe $2,277,344 for the tax years of 2019. Jayne then stated she was "in the midst of trying to figure out the basics of this tax bill with the assistance of my business manager, who is also an accountant." She further stated "I do not have the ability to pay the Franchise Tax Board tax bill. I also do not know if the Franchise Tax Board is claiming any sort of lien on my assets, which include the diamond earrings.." It had been previously reported that in 2020, Girardi and his law firm Girardi Keese were forced into a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Erika Jayne was sued for $25 million by the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy. The lawsuit demands she return every dime the firm spent to pay bills for her Company EJ Global. In addition she was ordered to hand over a pair of diamond earrings worth $1.4 million. The trustee said the earrings were purchased by Girardi with his client's money. An auction has been scheduled for the earrings to be sold off, with the profits being used to pay back Girardi's creditors, Jayne has appealed the ruling. For those with similar problems, we would advise a good Tax Resolution Services firm.
