REPUBLICANS WANT TO PASS NATIONAL SALES TAX

Republicans want to pass national sales tax. The U.S. House Freedom Caucus, which is made of various Republicans, wants to pass a national sales tax in early 2023. They are trying to advance a flat rate of 30% in their efforts. The proposal will never pass, with a Democratic Senate and Administration, but they will expend effort trying anyway. The proposal is geared to rid the nation of all individual and corporate income tax, the death tax, payroll taxes on companies, and gift taxes. Republicans want to pass national sales tax.

On January 10, 2023, House Resolution 25, with the name "Fair Tax Act", was advanced by Georgia House Representative Earl "Buddy" Carter, R-Georgia. It appears that to gain the speaker of the House position, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy made a promise to the House Freedom Caucus to advance the bill, even though it is dead on arrival. Speaker McCarthy made a deal to put the Fair Tax Act of the House, as a concession to get elected. The imposition of the 30% sales tax is a ruse to in fact eliminate the IRS, as the Republicans in Congress are the ones, who for nearly a decade and a half, have cut back the funding at the IRS, to appease their wealthy constituents, who have been proven to hide more assets from the IRS overseas to avoid tax, as reported in the Pandora Papers and the Panama papers, recently released.

This may seem like a fair idea, a sales tax on purchases, but multiple Tax Institutions have stated over and over again, that the poor will be hurt by this, substantially more than the rich. This is a scheme to divert taxes on the rich, and is disguised as a "Fair Tax Act". Often the name of a bill is disguised to show the true intent of it, and this is a classic example of that. If your tax debt seems unfair to you, or you have put off filing tax returns, you may need Tax Resolution Services.
